Infrastructure and Hardware

We use the best server hardware available. In the data center, we only have Supermicro servers with Intel Xeon processors. For data storage, we only use fast SSD/NVME disks intended for data centers. The speeds achieved by modern SSD/NVME disks cannot be competed with platter disks. Nowadays, platter disks are only suitable for specific uses – for example, backup, this is how we use them.

Hosting parameters

You can choose the PHP version you prefer within our hosting. There are many PHP versions to choose from, namely 5.6, 7.1, 7.2, 7.3, 7.4, 8.0, 8.1, 8.2 and 8.3.

PHP memory_limit and max_execution_time are set very high by default, it is possible to adjust the hosting parameters after agreement, as long as it does not affect security and stability.

Support for other applications

Thanks to the fact that our web hosting is tuned for very demanding applications, it is not a problem to run other applications on it together with PrestaShop.

Our hosting also works great with WordPress, Joomla, Drupal and other CMS systems.

Connection and security

Our servers are located in the TIER III Master data center in Prague. This guarantees perfect security and privacy. Only persons authorized by us have access to our technologies, and they must identify themselves in several places. The data center building is protected by a 24/7 camera system and a security agency. The power, connectivity and air-conditioning systems are fully redundant so that in the event of a blackout or shutdown there is no interruption to operations.

In addition, if there is a threat of a longer power outage that could not be covered by redundant UPS units, the data center also has fully redundant diesel generators with a fuel supply of at least 24 hours. Last but not least, the location of the data center itself played a role in our case. Our technicians are usually able to be directly in the data room within 90 minutes.

Backup

Should anything fail or anything happen to your hosting, full backups are always available, which are created automatically every day and kept always for 30 days. If necessary, we are able to restore the backup of your website (FTP and database, possibly even e-mails) for free on the specified date, if it is available.

We back up both to our servers in the Czech Republic and to external servers abroad (Lithuania) so that the backups are located geographically elsewhere.

Hosting support

Our hosting support is absolutely above average, especially because we primarily host PrestaShop, which we know very well. The head of the entire OpenServis is Dominik, who is an official PrestaShop Commiter. In addition to hosting, we are also able to provide a helping hand in case of emergency.
As for hosting support in general, the point of our hosting is that you should never need any support from our hosting, especially because the servers are tuned to run PrestaShop and there is no need to deal with any limits, libraries and nothing…
